Sargent & Lundy will attend the 59th annual Transmission & Substation Design & Operation Symposium to highlight its expertise in transmission and substation design, including grid modernization, overhead and underground transmission lines, and air- and gas-insulated substations.
The event, organized by the University of Texas at Arlington’s Extension and Extended Campus, will be held Sept. 2-4 at the Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center in Arlington, Texas. The firm will host Booth 31 from 5:30-10:30 p.m. Sept. 2. Attendees can speak with Sargent & Lundy professionals specializing in overhead transmission lines and substations rated up to 765 kilovolts, advanced conductor and reconductoring projects, renewable interconnections, supervisory control and data acquisition, and construction support.
The firm has extensive experience crafting reliable, safe, and cost-effective overhead transmission line designs, up to 765-kV AC and HVDC, along with substation design services for both greenfield and brownfield facilities, including distribution substations and transmission switchyards in configurations ranging from 13.8 kV to 765 kV. The firm also provides project development and owner’s engineering services for clients to identify, evaluate, select, and implement new power generation, electric grid infrastructure, and other energy projects.
About 1,000 utility engineers, suppliers, contractors, and power industry consultants are expected to attend the symposium to share industry knowledge, highlight technical experience, and engage with evolving challenges related to reliable, resilient, and higher-capacity transmission infrastructure.
