Sargent & Lundy’s grid professionals will attend the 62nd annual Midwest Power Systems Conference Nov. 10–12 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The team will be at Booth 313 to discuss transmission, substation, and distribution design, as well as project management.
Hosted by Bismarck State College, the conference brings together electric utility professionals from across the Midwest to examine technical and operational issues shaping the region’s power systems. This year’s conference agenda includes sessions on data centers’ grid impacts, large-load integration, 765-kV equipment and substation planning, inverter-based resources, and microgrids.
Sargent & Lundy’s grid expertise includes transmission, substation, and distribution design, along with SCADA and automation, telecommunications, grid hardening, renewable interconnections, battery energy storage, microgrids, project management, and owner’s engineering throughout a project’s life cycle. The firm is actively helping clients by planning and studying large-load interconnections, coordinating with utilities and regional grid operators, assessing available transmission capacity, and developing design for the area’s expanding grid.
