Our substation project experience extends to both greenfield and brownfield facilities, including distribution substations and transmission switchyards in a multitude of configurations, 13.8kV – 765kV. We possess extensive experience in gas-insulated substations and specialized equipment design, including static volt-ampere reactive (VAR) compensators (SVC), static synchronous compensators (STATCOM), high voltage direct current (HVDC), and other flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS).

We perform feasibility studies, system modeling, and detailed engineering services, and we function as owner’s engineers for a wide range of microgrid projects.

Our experience covers complex projects, including system modeling, studies of microgrid controllers, and the implementation and integration of large-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and combined heat and power systems. Our expertise extends to the design of communication systems required to connect microgrid controllers to various distributed generation resources. Additionally, we are well-versed in a wide range of generation technologies, including solar, diesel engines, microturbines, reciprocating engines, BESS, and combustion turbines to assist with the development and selection of the appropriate generation resources for a successful microgrid project.

We are licensed and trained in HOMER Pro, a powerful microgrid design tool for distributed generation, and renewable generation and energy storage systems.
