Sargent & Lundy Project Associate Rob Froom synthesized volumes of past NRC inspection reports into a single searchable spreadsheet that identifies priority items. At a presentation to the Nuclear Energy Institute’s License Renewal Task Force during a three-day event beginning Sept. 9 in Washington, D.C., Froom discussed how utilities can use the data to identify patterns and translate them into priority actions.
Senior Project Manager John McCague and Program Manager Max Smith also shared insights on how plant operators can take a comprehensive approach to license renewal, including best practices for renewing the existing operating license and implementing additional license renewal commitments and related activities.
