Sargent & Lundy is sponsoring and presenting at the Electric Utilities Consultants, Inc.’s Underground Transmission Conference Jan. 23–24 in Richmond, Virginia. The conference brings together utility professionals and engineers to share and discuss experiences and challenges with underground transmission projects.

Mark Rankin, who specializes in transmission line design and analysis at Sargent & Lundy, will speak at the conference, discussing the basic conditions and special situations that affect ampacity ratings of underground transmission lines. Rankin’s presentation, “Objects and Conditions that Impact the Ratings for Underground Transmission Lines,” is scheduled for 8:30–9:30 a.m. EST Jan. 24.
