Our experience in energy projects, particularly in power generation and transmission, uniquely positions us to meet the complex power and infrastructure demands of the data center industry, from initial concept and site selection to design, interconnection, on-site generation, and ongoing operations.

Sargent & Lundy served as owner’s engineer for the development of a new 100-mile, 345-kV transmission line and substation upgrades at Reynolds Substation, Burr Oak Substation, and Hiple Substation.

Sargent & Lundy provided owner’s engineer and design reviews of the project’s solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage system (BESS), substation, and generation interconnect-lines.

Sargent & Lundy supported the development of the Cielo Azul Switchyard by providing environmental permitting, procurement, switchyard, transmission line, and telecommunication services for a new 500-kV breaker-and-a-half switchyard, and associated communication network.

Technical services necessary to prepare design media, engineering analyses, and supporting calculations for completion of the design for the tank farm upgrades for waste feed delivery.

The Department of Energy sponsored an initial engineering design study to evaluate the retrofit of Membrane Technology & Research’s membrane-based post-combustion carbon dioxide capture technology at the CEMEX Balcones Cement Plant.

Sargent & Lundy provided independent engineering (IE) due diligence services in support of financing of the Big Plain and Oak Trail Solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects.

Sargent & Lundy provided engineering analysis, licensing support, and business case development for Browns Ferry Units 1, 2, and 3 subsequent license renewal (SLR).

Sargent & Lundy partnered with Kupono Government Services at the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Training Center (NTC) to develop and deliver critical training for the department’s employees and contractors.
