We can’t stop winning!
Sargent & Lundy has earned recognition on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Companies to Work For list and Forbes’ list of America’s Best Midsize Employers for 2025. This follows Top Workplaces recognition from USA TODAY, Chicago Tribune, The (Delaware) News Journal, The Denver Post, and Engineering.com.
The firm was listed among U.S. News’ 200 best private companies to work for and the best 33 companies in engineering and construction. Forbes ranked Sargent & Lundy among nearly 500 midsize companies of 1,000 to 5,000 employees.
Unlike the Top Workplaces rankings, which are based on direct employee feedback and engagement, the U.S. News and Forbes lists were based on outside surveys, social media commentary, court records, and other publicly available data. As part of the evaluation for the Forbes list, employees within a particular market sector evaluate their own employer along with employers from the same industry.
“This goes to show the strength of Sargent & Lundy’s reputation in the industry,” said Sargent & Lundy Chairman, President, and CEO Victor Suchodolski. “We are an employer of choice, and that’s a testament to the work our teams do to create an environment where people thrive.”
Both Forbes and U.S. News have six criteria they use to assess companies and determine rankings:
Forbes | U.S. News & World Report |
---|---|
Salary/wage | Quality of pay and benefits |
Working conditions | Work-life balance and flexibility |
Image | Job and company stability |
Workplace | Physical and psychological comfort |
Diversity | Belongingness and esteem |
Atmosphere & development | Career opportunities and professional development |
Earlier this year, Sargent & Lundy earned several Top Workplaces awards, including all five Top Workplaces Spring Culture Excellence Awards for the second consecutive year. The awards recognize companies that receive high marks for compensation and benefits, innovation, leadership, purpose and values, and work-life flexibility. This is on top of earning recognition last fall for employee appreciation, employee well-being, and professional development.
In March, the firm named a Top Workplace for Engineers by Engineering.com, and Suchodolski earned Top Workplaces USA’s inaugural Leadership Award based on the support of nearly 90% of employees who said they have confidence in the company’s leadership.
