Sargent & Lundy will share its experience at the 28th International Conference on Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology in Toronto Aug. 10-15. SMiRT28 will attract nuclear industry leaders, managers, engineers, plant operators, regulators, and academic researchers from around the world to explore the conference theme, “Harnessing Nuclear Technologies and Innovation as a Path to Net Zero by 2050.”
Lisa Cleveland, a structural engineering manager for Sargent & Lundy, served on the SMiRT28 conference planning committee and is chairing several of the conference sessions.
The firm’s team will participate in multiple technical sessions during the conference, presenting seven papers and sharing insights on topics such as structural analysis, 3D modeling, and seismic safety techniques.
- “Automating the Postprocessing for Reinforced Concrete Structure Finite Elements Analysis Models,” presented and co-authored by Navid Mozaffari and Steven Ainge of Sargent & Lundy.
- “Advanced 3D Model Metadata for Design Configuration Management – A Use Case in Barrier Functions,” presented and co-authored by Michael Marohl and Mario Bonasera of Sargent & Lundy.
- “Data Management and Interface for General 3D Model Users,” presented and co-authored by Mario Bonasera and Michael Marohl of Sargent & Lundy.
