Sargent & Lundy will play a key role at the 79th Annual Georgia Tech Protective Relaying Conference, leading discussions on the latest advances in grid reliability and system protection necessitated by accelerating load growth from data centers and manufacturing.

The three-day conference will begin April 15 and feature technical sessions moderated by Sargent & Lundy’s David Busot. Drawing on over 30 years of substation protective relaying experience across all power sectors, Busot will moderate discussions addressing inverter-based resources, grid reliability, emerging protection challenges, and other relevant topics.

Busot also serves on the conference organizing committee and helps select presenters each year to discuss the most important topics facing the industry.

Held at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center in Atlanta, the event will bring together subject matter experts from around the world to share industry insights and advance protection practices critical to modern power systems. More than 600 engineers, academics, and industry leaders are expected to attend.
