Fueled by strong gains in nuclear and conventional power sectors as well as other markets, Sargent & Lundy climbed into the top three in Engineering News-Record’s newly released Top Design Firms Sourcebook. Overall, the firm moved ahead in multiple market sectors, solidifying its leadership in the power and energy industry.

Notably, the firm ranked No. 1 in Nuclear – a place it has held for seven of the past 10 years. It also saw its highest ranking ever in Fossil Fuel at No. 2, as the demand to improve existing plants and develop new combined-cycle power-generating plants continues. Sargent & Lundy also remained in the top five in Battery Storage and Hydrogen power, and for the 10th consecutive year, it landed in the top 10 in Transmission and Distribution. Outside the power sector, the firm also maintained a top five spot in the Nuclear Waste category.
