Top Workplaces USA, which recognizes employers for creating a culture where people feel engaged, supported, and able to do their best work, has honored Sargent & Lundy for the sixth consecutive year. The firm ranked 11th out of 100 companies nationwide with more than 2,500 employees.
Top Workplaces USA employers are selected based entirely on confidential employee surveys, which measure how employees experience their workplace, including trust in leadership and direction, strong communication and collaboration, and connection to company values.
Sargent & Lundy’s 2025 employee survey drew responses from 87.1% of employees, giving a broad view into how staff feel across the firm. Results were especially strong in three areas tied to Top Workplaces recognition: Employees say that Sargent & Lundy moves in the right direction, leaders encourage new ideas, and the firm lives its values.
When employees described the firm’s culture in three words, they most often chose a combination of “professional,” “quality-driven,” “innovative,” and “dedicated,” reflecting technical rigor in the work and commitment they see in their colleagues.
Anonymous survey comments also reinforced these themes, as employees highlighted chances to work on complex engineering projects, collaborate with talented, supportive teammates, and see their work’s impact on clients and the broader power industry.
“Behind the survey results and data, there are real people who show up to work every day and contribute to the excellent work we deliver and create a work environment where we can all thrive,” said Sargent & Lundy Chairman, President, and CEO Victor Suchodolski. “Listening to – and valuing – their voices, ideas, and feedback is critical to our success.”
The 2026 Top Workplaces USA honor adds to a growing list of national and regional workplace recognitions for Sargent & Lundy. In recent years, the firm has:
- Appeared on the Top Workplaces USA list every year since the national program began.
- Earned multiple regional Top Workplaces awards, including recognition from Engineering.com, Denver, Chicago, and Delaware.
- Received specialty recognitions such as Top Workplaces Culture Excellence awards and the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health.
