The 50th Annual Conference of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Industrial Electronics Society will be held in Sargent & Lundy’s hometown of Chicago next week, featuring dozens of presentations, discussions, and workshops focusing on the latest trends and emerging technologies impacting the industry.

Sargent & Lundy Project Director Sang Gang will lead a contingent of power systems and electric grid specialists available to discuss the firm’s deep expertise and experience supporting our client’s power and energy goals. Members of the team will be available at booth 106 on the first level exhibition hall of the four-day IECON conference to meet industry and academic leaders and discuss the latest in technological and economic developments in the electric power industry.

Sargent & Lundy Senior Energy Consultant Mohammad Tasdighi will moderate a panel on Monday discussing “Artificial Intelligence in Utilities, Pitfalls and Successes” that will focus on electrical utility use of AI for internal operations and customer relations.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Celebrating Innovation, Inspiring the Future,” and will honor the achievements of the past while exploring new technologies that Sargent & Lundy is advancing, like smart grids, renewable energy and energy storage systems, and transportation electrification.
