The 47th annual Lundy Legends golf outing scored an ace, raising a record $117,000 for community youth programs and driving home Sargent & Lundy’s commitment to community impact.

More than 450 participants from across the company competed for the coveted trophy, and sported questionable fashion choices, all while raising money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.

The youth charity has been a longtime beneficiary of the company’s annual golf fundraiser, receiving more than $650,000 from the annual event over the years. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is one of the oldest youth development organizations in the city and serves thousands of young people annually at 24 club locations to equip them with the emotional, educational, physical, and cultural resources that allow them to enjoy their childhood and thrive in adulthood.

“Raising a significant amount of money for such a wonderful organization that provides opportunities for kids and keeps them safe was my ultimate goal,” said Marco Foster, this year’s event chair. “Based on the amount we raised, we are among the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago’s top donors.”

During a presentation of the proceeds at the Boys & Girls Club’s new Rusu-McCartin Club serving Chicago’s West Side, Sargent & Lundy Chairman, President, and CEO Victor Suchodolski spoke about the firm’s core value of making a meaningful impact in the communities where it has a presence.

“It’s a great honor for me to be here on behalf of all our employees who made this donation possible,” Suchodolski said in meeting with club executives and Sargent & Lundy team members. “Thank you for showing us your new facilities and telling us about your programs that enrich the lives of the kids you serve, keeping them safe, healthy, and active. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help.”
