Engineering.com profiled Sargent & Lundy’s winning culture and history of innovation as part of its inaugural awards for Top Workplaces for Engineers. The website recently recognized 35 design and engineering firms that create positive and sustainable work environments for engineers and ranked Sargent & Lundy fourth out of the 10 largest firms.
It is the first time Top Workplaces has specifically ranked firms within the engineering industry. The award is determined through anonymous employee feedback gathered by the independent Energage Workplace Survey.
Engineering.com’s announcement points out Sargent & Lundy’s long history and its commitment to innovation, quality, and performing meaningful work that makes an impact on improving people’s lives. It mentions the company’s robust internship program and the focus on professional development for engineers and professional staff.
The recognition by Engineering.com follows last month’s Top Workplaces USA awards where the firm placed 14th for large companies with over 2,500 employees and earned a five-year milestone award for making the list every year since it was established. Sargent & Lundy Chairman, President, and CEO Victor Suchodolski also received Top Workplaces USA’s inaugural Leadership Award.
The honors come as Sargent & Lundy continues to grow to meet increasing demands for power. The firm currently has more than 1,000 open positions for engineers, designers, project managers and other professional support staff in more than 30 offices throughout the U.S., and internationally.
