August 5, 2021 – The American Nuclear Society is hosting its annual Utility Working Conference (UWC), “Nuclear Sustainability: Leveraging an Evolving Workforce and Workplace,” August 8-11. Pareez Golub and Quinn Reynolds from Sargent & Lundy’s nuclear power business are participating in a key conference workshop.
Golub, a leader in digital instrumentation and control engineering and licensing for the nuclear industry, will be co-chairing the three-part workshop, “Digital Modernization Workshop: Leveraging New Digital Systems to Improve the Business,” on August 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EDT.
Reynolds, also an expert in digital implementation, will be a panelist alongside other industry professionals in Part 2 of the workshop, “Main Control Room Modernization Decision-making.”
The workshop will explore the capabilities of the new digital architectures that can be used to increase the potential O&M savings in the engineering support and plant maintenance organizations. You will hear dynamic exchange on enhanced monitoring and diagnostics endemic in new digital platforms used for plant control and connected to the plantwide business LAN. The three parts of this workshop will address different aspects of using digital capabilities and modernization initiatives to improve the business. More workshop information can be found here.
