Sargent & Lundy Sweeps All Five Top Workplaces Spring Culture Excellence Awards

Employees surveyed give firm high marks across the board

April 24, 2024 – Sargent & Lundy earned Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards in all five eligible spring categories, cementing its place as a nationally recognized Top Workplaces employer for the fourth straight year. The firm has earned Culture Excellence Awards every year since they were established in 2021, and this recognition comes on top of earning three Culture Excellence Awards last fall, and more recently ranking 21st among large employers on the overall Top Workplaces USA list.

  • Innovation honors organizations that have created a culture where new ideas are encouraged, which helps employees reach their full potential and benefits performance.
  • Leadership celebrates organizational leaders who inspire confidence in employees and the company direction. They listen to what matters most to employees and use that insight to make decisions.
  • Purpose and Values acknowledges organizations that have successfully communicated the company mission and integrated those aspirations into the culture.
  • Work-Life Flexibility applauds organizations that have built a culture that enables employees to meet the demands of their personal lives while maintaining high performance.

The awards are determined from anonymous employee surveys that measure a company’s culture through its values, direction, employee appreciation, professional development, open-mindedness, innovation, and leadership. The results are compiled and analyzed by Energage, LLC, a research and consulting firm that tracks employee engagement using data from over 70,000 organizations of all sizes, sectors, and locations collected over the past 17 years.

More than 80% of Sargent & Lundy’s employees participated in the survey, placing the firm among employers with the highest employee engagement.

In October, the firm earned Culture Excellence Awards for its commitment to employee well-being, employee appreciation, and professional development. Last month, Sargent & Lundy was named among the top workplaces nationally for employers with more than 2,500 employees. Its offices in Wilmington, Delaware, and Chicago have earned Top Workplaces regional honors.
