Sargent & Lundy Raises over $50,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago

Employees swung into action to give back to the local community at the annual Lundy Legends golf event

October 3, 2018 – Sargent & Lundy celebrated its 41st annual Lundy Legends golf event benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago (BGCC). Through the event and donations from individuals across the company, the firm raised over $50,000 for the BGCC.

The golf outing featured foursomes of Sargent & Lundy employees and officers who teamed up to compete for the coveted Lundy Legends Cup and Red Jacket. This year, nearly 240 golfers from across the company participated in golf, dinner, and fundraising. Team Brian Kelley, including Jim Rusk, Vojislav Dobrijevic, Rusty Andersen, and Petar Premovic, won this year’s tournament.

The “Beat the Executive Challenge” was a popular event, with CEO Tom White and executives Tom Meehan, Tom Behringer, and Vic Suchodolski stationed at par-3 holes. Challengers made donations for a chance to get closer to the pin than the executive and win a prize. Other fundraising efforts included split the pot and a raffle.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago enables all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Serving nearly 18,000 youth ages 6-18, BGCC works to provide members with the emotional, educational, physical, and cultural resources that allow them to enjoy their childhood and eventually thrive in adulthood.

A special thank you to outing chair Matt Briscoe.
