Sargent & Lundy to Attend NAYGN Annual Conference

Team will be at booth 9 to discuss work in the nuclear industry and career opportunities


June 2, 2024 – Sargent & Lundy employees are hosting a booth to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear organization at its annual continental conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, this week.

Founded in 1999, the organization is dedicated to providing opportunities for early- to mid-career nuclear professionals to develop leadership skills, create lifelong connections throughout the industry, engage and inform the public, and inspire nuclear technology experts to meet the challenges of the future. The theme of this year’s conference is “Energizing the Future of the Nuclear Industry.”

The four-day conference runs through June 5 at the Knight Theater and Mint Museum in Center City Charlotte. Sargent & Lundy’s Jess Miller will be at booth 9 in the Expansion Room of the Mint Museum on Monday and Tuesday of the conference to meet with attendees and discuss possible career opportunities with the firm.

Professional development and networking sessions will be held throughout the conference, and Sargent & Lundy Project Director Mike Flanagan will host a breakout session on Monday focused on leadership speed networking at the Silverman Grand Room at the Mint Museum.

Steven Alonso, Aaron Grayson, Ty Holderbaum, and Emily Wielbik will also represent Sargent & Lundy at the conference.

Sargent & Lundy has been at the forefront of the nuclear industry since 1954. The firm has been actively involved in the licensing and design of new nuclear units and facilities for 70 years and provides full-scope licensing support, site selection, environmental report development, engineering, design, field support, construction management, and comprehensive project management for large-scale reactors, small modular reactors, and advanced reactors.
