Sargent & Lundy Staff Celebrates 125th Anniversary

Festivities highlight the firm's accomplishments, collaborative spirit, and strong future

October 19, 2016 - More than 2,000 Sargent & Lundy employees and their guests gathered at Chicago's Field Museum of Natural History to celebrate 125 years of powerful ideas.  The October 15 event is one of several being held worldwide this fall to commemorate the firm's 125th Anniversary.

The festivities included a treasure hunt for Field Museum artifacts with a connection to the firm's 1891 founding date, a timeline display of Sargent & Lundy milestones and landmark projects, and visiting with friends while sampling multinational cuisine choices.

"Sargent & Lundy enjoys a great reputation as an expert in the power industry throughout the world," said CEO Tom White. "Certainly our history of  innovations and power industry 'firsts' over the past 125 years have done a lot to help establish the company name. And, the firm has always had the good fortune to be able to assemble a staff of extremely smart and talented people.

"What really keeps Sargent & Lundy going is a universal willingness to do what it takes to get things done for our clients - and not to just deliver the work, but to deliver with quality service tailored to each client's specific needs."
