December 24, 2015 – Sargent & Lundy joined Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station as a sponsor of an annual charitable event to benefit the Oswego County, N.Y., community. Exelon Generation presented the holiday donation to Oswego County Opportunities. The contribution will support three OCO programs:
- The OPTIONS Program, which assists teen parents and their babies with accessing health care, education, employment readiness, and life skills
- The PATH program, a transitional program for homeless youth ages 16 – 21 that assists them with independent living skills, educational goals, and life skills
- Services to Aid Families, which provides services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and elder abuse. The program assists and empowers survivors as well as provides community outreach to respond to these issues.
The two-unit Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station is located in Scriba, N.Y.
