September 21, 2016 – After a four-day audit, the registrar for Sargent & Lundy’s ISO 9001:2015 certification reported a very favorable assessment regarding Sargent & Lundy’s approach to quality. The audit feedback for  certification renewal noted that it was very evident that the Sargent & Lundy Quality Management System is integrated into daily work activities and a valued part of employees’ client work.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is the global industry standard for quality management in businesses and organizations. Sargent & Lundy's quality management program was originally certified in 1997 to ISO 9001:1994.  Since then, the firm's certification has been successfully renewed and transitioned to the latest versions of the ISO 9001 standard.  Recertification involves a demanding audit across the company every three years by an independent registrar and annual surveillance audits.

Sargent & Lundy now holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for “Project Management, Engineering, Design, and Consulting Services for the Power Generation and Power Delivery Industries” at its Chicago Headquarters.
