Forbes Magazine Again Names Sargent & Lundy Among “America’s Best Midsize Employers”

The 2017 list of the top 300 midsize companies lists Sargent & Lundy at #193


May 18, 2017 – Sargent & Lundy has been named to the Forbes magazine “America’s Best Midsize Employers” list for the second year in a row. The 2017 list of the top 300 midsize companies was announced on the Forbes website, with Sargent & Lundy coming in at #193.

Forbes, in partnership with online statistics provider Statista.com, conducts the workplace satisfaction survey anonymously and without the involvement of employers. The pool of survey participants is drawn from multiple electronic databases. Survey participants are asked to rate both their own employer and other employers. Forbes reports that the willingness to recommend one’s own employer was the most important metric of their assessment. The questions included asking employees to determine, on a scale from 0 to 10, how likely they were to recommend their employer to family and friends.

As reported by Forbes, the 2017 rankings were determined by an online survey of more than 30,000 employees at companies with at least 1,000 people. The survey covered more than 1,800 midsize and large U.S. companies, nonprofits, government agencies, and U.S. divisions of multinationals. The midsize list ranks companies with 1,000 to 5,000 employees.
