January 2, 2018 – Sargent & Lundy LLC is pleased to announce its 2018 executive appointments. The following individuals have been appointed senior vice presidents.
Chuck R. Beitel is a senior vice president for Sargent & Lundy’s Fossil Power group, responsible for several domestic power clients in the Midwest and Southeast. Based in Chicago, he joined the firm in 1995 and has contributed to a wide range of projects, including new combined-cycle plants, new coal generation, numerous air quality retrofits as well as fossil and nuclear services projects. He has a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Frederick James Jensen is a senior vice president and project director for Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power group at the firm’s Chattanooga, Tennessee, regional office. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, he was the project manager and technical lead for Omaha Public Power District's Fort Calhoun steam generator replacement project. Jensen has a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Bellevue University and also served in the U.S. Nuclear Navy. He is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Sean C. McHone is a senior vice president and project director in Sargent & Lundy’s Fossil Power group in Chicago. He is responsible for directing fossil services for various clients, including several industrial clients, and has been very active with assisting the firm’s expansion into the gas pipeline sector in addition to its power focus. McHone is also leading the firm’s work in identifying and assessing new generation project opportunities in Mexico. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a member of the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Master of Energy Engineering Advisory Board.
