Dates Announced for 2017 Transmission Line and Substation Engineering Courses

November 6, 2016 - Sargent & Lundy announced the 2017 schedule for its popular Transmission Line and Substation Engineering courses conducted by the firm's senior engineers. The courses have been held annually since 1994 for engineers and designers from US and international electric power companies. The courses are also available to utilities at their offices.

The 4-day courses are open to utility staff.  The highly regarded sessions provide project-oriented, practical training for entry-level engineers and experienced engineers who are new to the design, specification, and installation of transmission and substation facilities.

The 2017 course dates in Chicago are:

Substation Engineering Course
March 13 – 16, 2017
September 18 – 21, 2017

Transmission Line Engineering Course
September 25 – 28, 2017

Participants receive a Certificate of Completion and can earn 32 Professional Development Hours (PDHs).

Sargent & Lundy offers training in Substation and Transmission Line Design to our clients in the utility industry. Training is offered in our Chicago office annually in the spring and fall. We also offer onsite classes to our clients upon request. Each course lasts four days and upon completion earns 32 Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
